Welcome to the website for ISKF of CSU.
ISKF of CSU is a Shotokan karate club located at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are affiliated with the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) and are in the Mountain States Region.
Shotokan Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art focusing on blocking, punching, kicking, and striking. Emphasis is placed on forming correct technique, as well as application of techniques. Benefits of training include increased strength, coordination and fitness as well as improved confidence.
Training consists of 4 main aspects:
- Kihon (basics and combinations)
- Kata (forms)
- Kumite (sparring)
- Bunkai (application/partner drills)

| Fall Session Starts August 30th! |
| The Fall Session of Shotokan Karate at CSU starts on August 30th. Registration is open now. If you are interested in joining the class please sign up right away to make sure we keep the class going! The "How to Register" link has details on registration. |
| *NEW* First Class Free! |
| New at the Rec Center this year, the first class is free. This means if you're interested, you can come to the first class on August 30th, and not have to sign up before you try the class. However, classes do have limited space, so if you are sure you want to train with us this Fall, registering early is highly recommended. |
| ISKF Nationals 2011 |
| The annual ISKF Nationals / Collegiate Nationals will be held in Denver this November. I am hoping to have as many CSU participants as possible in the collegiate divisions to help support our region, and show how strong of a club we have formed at CSU. Ask me at class for details if you are interested in competing or helping out. |
