Welcome to the website for ISKF of CSU.

ISKF of CSU is a Shotokan karate club located at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. We are affiliated with the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) and are in the Mountain States Region.

Shotokan Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art focusing on blocking, punching, kicking, and striking. Emphasis is placed on forming correct technique, as well as application of techniques. Benefits of training include increased strength, coordination and fitness as well as improved confidence.

Training consists of 4 main aspects:

  • Kihon (basics and combinations)
  • Kata (forms)
  • Kumite (sparring)
  • Bunkai (application/partner drills)

All experience levels are welcome to join us. For more information, please feel free to contact us directly via email:

Thank you for your interest, we look forward to seeing you in the dojo!

Winter Training! Kangeiko will be held this year at the Lone Tree Recreation Center from January 23 - 28, 2017. Training goes from Monday through Saturday. Training is from 6:00AM - 7:00AM Monday - Friday, 6:45AM - 7:45AM on Saturday. Cost is $45 per adult, $25 per child (under 15 years). The purpose of Kangeiko is to set your spirit and karate goals for the year, so please try to make at least one of the trainings! It's a great chance to train with a lot of regional karateka and make new friends. Since this is a long drive from Fort Collins, please let us know if anyone wants to try to set up carpools.
